UNIVERSAL CAFE
Branding | Signage | Packaging | Website
PROJECT INTRODUCTION
The objective was to develop the identity of a restaurant that focuses on a subgroup or culture that we are not a part of. I chose to create a café which was built with disabled people in mind. We needed to design a logo, brand system, menu, website, signage, and another application of our choosing. A lot of research went into accessible color contrast, type size, restaurant accessibility, and more.
BRAND GUIDELINES
Shows the logo at different sizes, proportions, and in different colors. Also shows the typefaces, colors, text style, and patterns that the brand uses. Scroll through the images on the right to see all of the guidelines.

MENU AND SIGNAGE
Design of the printed menu (if time allowed there would have been a braille menu as well), interior, and exterior signage. The mural includes braille text and raised patterns for the visually impaired. The mockup for the exterior signage was edited to have a ramp instead of a step.
PACKAGING
Packaging is an important part of the branding for a café. These utilize the brand patterns. Design of two cups, a large bag, bakery bag, and a sandwich wrapper.
